No One Mourns the Wicked? Then they haven't seen it!

Our wonderful friends, Elle and Devin Woolsey, bought us tickets to see Wicked on tour in Salt Lake.  It was so fun to see it with them.  Elle and I fell in love with the sound track and vowed we would see it together.  My word, it was good!  Chad and I saw it in LA last year, and I have to say that this cast was just as good, if not better, than the LA cast.  Elle and I both cried, because we were so excited to be there.  We took some more pictures, but I'll have to post them later.

The Mack Behind the Mask

He found this mask and wanted to pose for me.  He just makes me laugh!

Catching up...

In Washington, I was able to catch up with some long, lost friends.  This is my good friend Amber.  We were in middle school together, but when I became a freshman, she went off to Washington State School for the Deaf.  We would write occasionally, but lost contact for a couple of years.  Then one year, Chad and I decided to stop by her house in Quincy (that's where Chad is from, too) and she there!  We emailed for a while, then I completely lost her, again.  I stopped by again, and luckily, she was there.  Apparently, she doesn't have internet anymore.  I was amazed at how much sign language I forgot!  I need to practice up on it before I visit her again!
Amber is the sweetest girl I have ever met!!!  She would never say or do anything mean to anybody.  She is always happy and excited about life.

This next picture is of my friend, Rene's little girl, Aniston and Mack.  She is sitting in her doll's high chair.  I love how they are looking at each other.  Rene and I have known each other since kindergarten.  We became really good friends in high school.  It was so good to see her, again!  She was one of my closest friends and helped me through some extremely difficult times.  Rene has always known how to make me laugh.  We can talk forever and still have more to chat about.

Washington

Our trip started with a 12 hour car ride that turned out to be more like 14 hours.  Driving against the wind does not make for an efficient trip!  Once we were there, though, we had a pretty great time!

Wednesday, we were able to watch the Moses Lake Stake production of Beauty and the Beast.  I was amazed at the amount of talent in such a small community!  Especially for being a church production.  The costuming and set were awesome and, of course, the thespians were wonderful.  My brother, Kyle, played as Gaston.  It was really good to see him on the stage, again.  We used to be in plays growing up, but neither one of us have been in a production since high school.  He did a great job, which moved us to tears (you know, funny ones).

That night we stayed at my dad's house.  We were able to ride around with him for a little while the next day.

Mack didn't like the horses, but...

he loved the cows.  He even asked if he could ride on them.
